“According to a source close to Hendo, Dan is a free agent. The source said Dan wants to remain in the UFC. It makes the most sense.”
“But as of right now he doesn't have a contract with Zuffa. Negotiations were characterized as "slow." Dan's main focus is fighting A. Silva.”
“I think something gets done. Maybe not right away, but Hendo needs the UFC because Silva's there. Plus, it's the only place to make PPV $$$.”
According to Josh Gross , of Sports Illustrated, Dan indeed wants his shot at Anderson Silva AND HE WANTS IT NOW, lol. This is just probably the result of "Hendo" just trying to play hard ball and trying to get a guaranteed title shot in which I feel he should have to fight Nate Marquardt for. I will Update as the news comes out.
